i’m more upset that he got a tatoo of the orange gun instead of the original grey one. i guess he’s not so hardcore afterall.

Nah man, Gresh has got a point. Now before you go yelling at me too there’s no way in hell I’m ever getting a tattoo of anything on my body. But if you’re going to do anything concerning the NES Light Gun, it has to be in original grey and not punk ass orange.

and greshkov is right, the orange zappers are the newer ones. The all grey ones were the classics.

i’m not a tattoo guy, so there will be no duck hunt gun adorning my love handles. i’m not calling into question the stones it takes to get a tattoo, i just saw an easy joke and took it. i also considered photoshopping something absolutely ridiculous on a picture of me to appease your demand for a picture of me with a tattoo, but i’m at work and would probably lose interest very quickly. maybe next time…

Chug-a-milk or Chugaboy, whatever your name is. Is that a picture of you? That why you’re gettin all pissy pants? Its true, the grey is more classic. That’s like some dude getting a tattoo of a Punch-Out NES box instead of getting the Mike Tyson’s Punch-Out box. You just don’t do that. I know Mike went to jail and all, but if you’re trying to go retro, you gotta go with the original.

The reason the gun is orange is for color contrast. Grey shading throughout the gun would make it stand out less as a tattoo. I’m sure that the artist, in order to make it more recognizable as the NES light gun made the choice to go with orange instead of grey.

Reverend Jack is right - artistically, gray with black lines would suck. The orange makes the tattoos stand out.

again, it was just a joke comment. i consider the tattoo to be pretty awful. grey, orange, it would look bad to me either way. but as long as that dude likes it, it’s all that matters. and big ups to the dude who brought up the super scope.

Don’t forget to leave out the Sega Menacer guys. Have it goin down one side of his back, like he’s rockin it over her shoulder. Or maybe the power pad circles (blue and red) tattooed on the bottom of each foot. Then have him race people with crazy names like cheetah and turtle. I’d pay to see those races.

The reason they are on his sides is because that is a traditional place to get six shooters tatooed. This is a different take on it, and it’s not the first time I have seen it either. I think it wouldn’t look so bad, but he should have dropped a few pounds before getting it.

orange, because gray wouldnt have looked good on a tattoo, shading and whatnot.
